He was the beloved son of Spencer and Melissa Baum and a cherished brother to Kahlee Baum. To his grandparents, James and Marsha Mudd, he was a source of pride and love. Cade shared a deeply devoted marriage with his wife, Courtney Baum, whose life was profoundly connected with his. He was also a loving uncle to Evy, Laek Perkins, and Adaline Curtis, and he embraced that role with genuine care and affection. Cade graduated from Weatherford High School in 2015 before continuing his education at Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2019 and later a Master of Public Health in Occupational Health and Safety in 2021. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, gaming, listening to music, and caring for his three dogs—Gilbert, Gus, and Reggie. He was known for his vibrant personality, unwavering loyalty, and an infectious smile that made people feel welcomed and valued. His hugs, laughter, and genuine spirit left lasting impressions on everyone he met.
A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. Family and friends will gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the impact he made during his time with them.
