The victim was later identified as 34-year-old Latisha Andrews of Athens. Despite emergency medical efforts, officials confirmed that she was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries.
Investigators later arrested 52-year-old Sharod Greene of Elberton in connection with the shooting. According to police, Greene has been charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
